Dragons of Newport are pleased to announce The Royal National Institute for Blind People (RNIB Cymru) as the chosen charity for our next open networking event on 12th September 2018.

About The Royal National Institute for Blind People (RNIB Cymru)Severn Area Rescue Association (SAR

We’re RNIB Cymru, Wales largest charity supporting blind and partially sighted people.

Every 15 minutes, someone in the UK begins to lose their sight.

"When I got my test results, my life went upside down. Inside it was killing me. I didn’t know where to go. RNIB’s Living with Sight Loss course really, really, really helped me" Mohammed Suliman.

Can you imagine your life without sight? How would you cope, how would you live your life? Can you imagine no longer being able to read your favourite book, your weekly magazine or your daily newspaper? Think of the sense of isolation and loneliness that losing your eyesight would bring to your life.

An estimated 4,510 people are living with sight loss in Newport.

RNIB Cymru is here to support these people, with practical advice and emotional support.

We reduce social isolation by connecting partially sighted with their communities and improve their life skills, broadening their opportunities so they can live life to the full and face the future with confidence.

We improve lives, increase independence and we STOP preventable sight loss.

With nearly 150 years’ experience of working together with blind and partially sighted people, our knowledge can help your business open up a host of new opportunities.
